ASMQ Annual Scientific Meeting
You must all be eagerly anticipating news of when the next ASMQ's Annual Scientific
Meeting will be held? For the past 5 years, the meetings have been held
at the Moreton Bay Research Facility on North Stradbroke Island, hence the name
NSI meetings. The Committee has decided on a change of venue this year. Thus,
ASM Qld branch proudly presents: Microbiology in Maleny 2009 (MiM2009). It is
set to be an exciting meeting to discuss microbiology in the mountains. Hope to
see you all there!
Simmon's Trust Presents...
2009 Geoff Simmon's Memorial Lecture
The 2009 Simmons Lecture is being held in conjunction with the 100th birthday
celebrations of the Animal Research Institute where G. C. Simmons spent his
entire working career. Please note that all ASM-Q members are invited to the Simmons
Lecture and associated activities on the morning of the 27th November.
The event is by ticket only (due to limited seating at the venue) and an RSVP
by the 20th November (to Pat Blackall, Fax 3362 9530, e-mail pat.blackall@deedi.qld.gov.au)
is required to obtain a ticket. Strictly limited seating. So don't
wait to RSVP!
